Chamillionaire, born Hakeem Seriki in 1979, is a Houston rapper and entrepreneur. He moved to Houston as a young child, grew up in the Acres Homes neighborhood, and attended Jersey Village High School.
He first made his name in the early 2000s alongside Paul Wall in the duo the Color Changin' Click, then went solo. His 2005 debut album, "The Sound of Revenge," reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 and carried his biggest hit, "Ridin'," featuring Krayzie Bone, which went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006 and won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.
Since stepping back from music, he has become a well-known technology investor, backing companies such as Maker Studios, Lyft, and Cruise, and serving as an entrepreneur in residence at the venture firm Upfront Ventures.
