The Goonies House RoadyGoat

1985

Perched on a hill at 368 38th Street in Astoria, Oregon, this 1896 Victorian is the home of Mikey and Brand Walsh in Richard Donner's 1985 cult classic 'The Goonies.' The exterior — the wraparound porch where the kids gathered and the attic where they found One-Eyed Willy's treasure map — was shot here, though the interiors were built on a soundstage. The house looks out over the Columbia River and the Astoria-Megler Bridge, the misty Pacific Northwest backdrop that gives the film its mood. It became such a magnet for fans shouting the movie's 'Hey, you guuuys!' that past owners sometimes closed the driveway. A lifelong Goonies fan bought the home in 2022 for around $1.65 million. It's a private residence, so admire it from the street below.
