Boyd Yellowjackets — 2026 UIL Class 3A Division I State Champions
def. Corpus Christi London 9–8 · Dell Diamond, Round Rock
Northwest of Fort Worth in Wise County, the Boyd Yellowjackets won state the only way that fits this town — the hard way. They dug out of an early three-run hole, withstood a furious late rally from Corpus Christi London, and walked off Dell Diamond with a 9–8 thriller for the 2026 Class 3A Division I championship. It's the program's second title in four seasons and the exclamation point on a 39–3 campaign in coach Brad McIntire's eighth year.
Tournament MVP Keelan Clary was the difference: three hits, five RBI, and — with the game knotted in the late innings — a sacrifice fly to center that plated the championship-winning run. London never went quietly. The Pirates' Aiden Salinas (18 runs, 11 steals, 3 HR across the playoffs) and Christian Olivares kept swinging to the final out, but Boyd always had one more answer.
- Keelan Clary — Tournament MVP — 3 H, 5 RBI; the go-ahead sac fly that won it
- Brad McIntire — Head coach — second state title in four seasons (39–3)
Game tied, season on the line — Keelan Clary lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to score the run that made it 9–8 for good.
