Chico High School, a proud 2A institution in North Texas, has a history of producing athletes who have competed at the highest levels of professional sports. The community can look back with pride at the careers of several former Dragons. This includes Major League Baseball players such as Nelson Briles, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates, and Clay Dalrymple, a catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies and Baltimore Orioles. Brian Keyser also played Major League Baseball with the Chicago White Sox.
