Saginaw High School, a Class 5A institution, has a proud history of athletes who have gone on to achieve at major college and professional levels. These former Rough Riders have represented Saginaw across various sports, showcasing the talent nurtured within our community. Their journeys from high school sports to higher levels of competition provide inspiration for current and future generations of Saginaw athletes.
Among the notable alumni are Terry McDaniel, a former Tennessee and NFL football player, and Calvin O'Neal, also a former Michigan and NFL football player. In basketball, Paul Dawkins became the first NBA player from Saginaw with the Utah Jazz, and also played internationally with Galatasaray in Turkey.
